Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles 2 is a free, fan-made Castlevania tribute released in May 2017 by independent developer Mig Perez under the Migami Games banner. It is a classic-style 2D action-platformer built in Clickteam Fusion 2.5, following Efraim Lecarde across a full campaign of exploration, whip-and-subweapon combat, and boss fights, plus an Alucard Boss Rush mode. It was widely praised in retro and Castlevania communities as one of the most polished entries in the series' fan-game scene. As an unofficial freeware project not affiliated with Konami, it was never sold and exists only as a free download.

Game: Free, well-regarded Castlevania fan game by Mig Perez / Migami Games (2017) — classic-style 2D action-platformer with a full campaign and an Alucard Boss Rush.
Engine: Built in Clickteam Fusion 2.5 (the reworked builds bumped to Fusion 2.5+ rev 296.9). Clickteam Fusion titles run reliably under Proton on Deck (DirectX, no DRM/GFWL since it's freeware).
Install: Portable — download the latest Game.Binary.zip from the developer's official GitHub releases (katriellucas/lecarde-2, the source the dev mirrors), unzip anywhere, and add the Lecarde Chronicles 2.exe to Steam as a Non-Steam game. The bundle ships two exes: the normal-mode build (name does not end in c) and the Ring of Fury mode build (name ends in c, e.g. Lecarde Chronicles 2c.exe). Force a recent Proton (GE-Proton or proton_experimental). No launch options or winetricks required.
Controller: Native gamepad support — Xbox/XInput pads are detected and both controller and keyboard are fully remappable in the in-game control config, so the Deck's built-in controller maps straight through. (Older builds had a mapping-loss bug if you skipped control config on first boot; fixed in the reworked/latest release.)
Display: Stretched/native fullscreen aspect-ratio builds for DX9 and DX11 are provided as separate downloads if the default window opens in a small box; otherwise toggle fullscreen in the in-game options.
The one thing to know
Free fan game: Not affiliated with Konami; never sold on Steam, so no Steam appid. Download the official Game.Binary.zip for free from the developer's GitHub releases (katriellucas/lecarde-2).
Two builds: The download contains two exes — the normal-mode Lecarde Chronicles 2.exe and a Ring of Fury harder-mode build whose name ends in c. Point the launch at the normal-mode exe unless you want Ring of Fury.
Proton: Clickteam Fusion 2.5 build — runs through Proton on Deck with no special fixes; use GE-Proton or proton_experimental.
Controller: Native support (DS4 D-pad, fully remappable), so no Steam Input layout needed.
ProtonDB: No ProtonDB entry exists (it's a Non-Steam title), so the tier is left blank; runnability is inferred from the Clickteam Fusion 2.5 / Proton track record rather than a verified per-title report. deckport links nothing.

Get the artwork
deckport never hosts game images. Open this game on SteamGridDB, pick
the cover / hero / logo / icon you like, and drop them into the
game folder under .deckport-art/ before you push it to the
Deck. The importer files them under the right names automatically.
Run it on your Deck
Two files: the one-time importer (deckport.py) in your
Deck's home folder, and this game's install helper. Copy the game
into ~/Games and run the helper with Steam closed — it
writes the recipe (binary, launch options, Proton version)
and registers the shortcut with artwork.
