About
Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is a 2018 grid-based sliding puzzle game built on Unity in which players guide Jason Voorhees across isometric levels, sliding him until he hits an obstacle, to reach and dispatch victims in over-the-top 'Kill Scenes'. The campaign spans many themed episodes - from classic campgrounds to icy tundras and even outer space - with hazards like water, traps, campfires and cops adding strategic depth.
It shares its DNA with developer Blue Wizard Digital's earlier Slayaway Camp and drew generally positive reviews for its addictive, gory charm. The Steam version was delisted in early 2023 over Friday the 13th licensing issues, though prior owners retain it in their libraries.

⚙ Setup notes
Delisted: Blue Wizard Digital (appid 795100) lost the *Friday the 13th* license; the game was set free on Steam shortly before being pulled from sale around Jan 2023. Prior owners keep it in their library, and it still receives occasional patches (e.g. an Oct 2025 Unity security update).
Engine: Unity engine; lightweight 2D-ish puzzler that runs cleanly under Proton with no DRM, GFWL, or special tweaks. ProtonDB gold (20 reports, good confidence).
Proton: proton_experimental or GE-Proton both work; pick whatever is current. No launch options needed.
Install: The Steam launch config lists the Windows executable as F13.exe (macOS is F13.app). Confirm it in your install folder if it differs. deckport only configures the prefix; it never bundles or links the game files.
The one thing to know
Supply your own copy: Windows binary is F13.exe per Steam's launch config; confirm it in your install. deckport links nothing.
Compatibility: Delisted (licensing) but ProtonDB gold — community reports confirm it runs on Linux/Proton, so it should be smooth on the Deck.
Controller: Native gamepad support (the game even has a hidden Jason unlocked via a gamepad button sequence), so it's fully playable with Deck controls out of the box; no Steam Input layout needed.
Offline: Single-player puzzle game — no online servers to worry about.

Get the artwork
deckport never hosts game images. Open this game on SteamGridDB, pick
the cover / hero / logo / icon you like, and drop them into the
game folder under .deckport-art/ before you push it to the
Deck. The importer files them under the right names automatically.
Run it on your Deck
Two files: the one-time importer (deckport.py) in your
Deck's home folder, and this game's install helper. Copy the game
into ~/Games and run the helper with Steam closed — it
writes the recipe (binary, launch options, Proton version)
and registers the shortcut with artwork.
