About
Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is a choice-driven episodic adventure set in the world of HBO's Game of Thrones, told across six episodes. Players control members of House Forrester, a noble family loyal to the Starks, as their decisions ripple across multiple characters and storylines following the Red Wedding. Built on the Telltale Tool engine, it features the studio's signature branching-dialogue and quick-time-event gameplay. It was delisted from storefronts following Telltale's 2018 closure and the lapse of the HBO licensing agreement.

⚙ Setup notes
Game: 2014 Telltale episodic adventure (all six episodes; Telltale Tool engine).
Proton: ProtonDB Platinum (current + trending) — runs out of the box under proton_experimental. Most reports describe smooth high-framerate play with no tweaks; one report even ran it at 4K/60.
Display: The in-game Settings menu (resolution / fullscreen) is only reachable AFTER starting an episode, so launch a chapter first to set display options. A couple of reports note it can open in an unfocused, low-res window on multi-monitor setups (mouse not confined to the window) — running single-monitor / Gaming Mode avoids this.
Controller: Native controller support — the game auto-switches to gamepad when one is detected, so no Steam Input hack is needed.
DRM: Delisted after Telltale's closure and the HBO/GoT license lapse — owners keep library access, no new purchases.
Glitch: If you hit the occasional between-scene freeze or audio-only load, retry the scene.
Install: Main executable is Thrones.exe (Steam/GOG install root: Game of Thrones/Thrones.exe).
The one thing to know
Delisted: Telltale closure / HBO license — previous owners still have library access, but it can't be bought new.
Deck status: Steam Deck Verified status is Unsupported (Valve never validated it), but ProtonDB community reports it as Platinum / fully playable.
Display: Set resolution from the in-game Settings menu, which only appears once an episode is running.
Install: Executable confirmed as Thrones.exe.

Get the artwork
deckport never hosts game images. Open this game on SteamGridDB, pick
the cover / hero / logo / icon you like, and drop them into the
game folder under .deckport-art/ before you push it to the
Deck. The importer files them under the right names automatically.
Run it on your Deck
Two files: the one-time importer (deckport.py) in your
Deck's home folder, and this game's install helper. Copy the game
into ~/Games and run the helper with Steam closed — it
writes the recipe (binary, launch options, Proton version)
and registers the shortcut with artwork.
