About
A five-episode narrative adventure based on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy comics, built on Telltale's proprietary Telltale Tool engine and centered on choice-driven dialogue and quick-time action sequences. Players control Star-Lord as the team contends with the cosmic conqueror Hala while wrestling with their own pasts. Released episodically across 2017 to generally favorable reviews, it became delisted in mid-2019 following the studio's closure and majority layoffs, leaving it unavailable for purchase through normal storefronts.

⚙ Setup notes
Delisted: Delisted Steam game (appid 579950, retired June 2019 after Telltale's closure). Telltale Tool engine episodic adventure.
Proton: ProtonDB rates it gold (overall tier; recent reports trend platinum) — it runs well on Linux/Proton with no DRM/GFWL middleware to bypass. Use GE-Proton (or proton_experimental); no winetricks needed.
Controller: Like other late Telltale Tool titles, this game is picky about gamepad detection — it only accepts a device the engine sees as a true gamepad (DInput DevType 66069), so on Windows people often needed x360ce. On Proton this is handled by Proton's built-in Telltale/Yakuza controller-mapping fix, so the Deck pad generally works, but it is not effortless native support: if the in-game pad isn't detected, set the controller layout to Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad (or a Keyboard/Mouse layout) in Steam Input as a fallback.
Install: The launcher .exe is typically GoG.exe for this title (Telltale's internal short name for the game), but confirm the actual executable in your install folder and adjust if different. No special launch options required.
DRM: deckport only configures the prefix; it never bundles or links the game files.
The one thing to know
Supply your own copy: deckport links nothing.
Delisted: Delisted from Steam/GOG/consoles in mid-2019 (Telltale closure) — no longer for sale, single-player so no online dependency.
Proton: ProtonDB gold — runs well under Proton/GE-Proton with no DRM or GFWL to work around.
Controller: the Telltale Tool engine is fussy about gamepad detection (it wants a true DInput gamepad, DevType 66069). Proton ships a Telltale/Yakuza controller-detection fix so the Deck pad usually works, but it is not flawless native support — if the pad isn't picked up in-game, fall back to a Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad / Keyboard-Mouse Steam Input layout.
Install: Binary listed as GoG.exe (Telltale Tool launcher) — confirm against your install.
NEEDS-TEST: not yet confirmed on a Deck for this specific recipe.

Get the artwork
deckport never hosts game images. Open this game on SteamGridDB, pick
the cover / hero / logo / icon you like, and drop them into the
game folder under .deckport-art/ before you push it to the
Deck. The importer files them under the right names automatically.
Run it on your Deck
Two files: the one-time importer (deckport.py) in your
Deck's home folder, and this game's install helper. Copy the game
into ~/Games and run the helper with Steam closed — it
writes the recipe (binary, launch options, Proton version)
and registers the shortcut with artwork.
