About

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is a puzzle-strategy game based on the Peaky Blinders TV series, set just before the events of Series 1. The player controls members of the Shelby crime family and solves levels using a time-manipulation mechanic: actions performed by one character are recorded on a timeline that can be rewound and replayed, then layered with the actions of other characters to execute coordinated heists.

Built in Unreal Engine 4 by FuturLab, it received mixed reviews praising the clever tactical loop but criticizing its short campaign. It was delisted in 2024 after the show's TV licence expired.

⚙ Setup notes

Status: Delisted Steam game (appid 1013310), removed Aug 2024 when the Peaky Blinders TV-licence from Banijay/Netflix expired — no longer for sale.

Game: Unreal Engine 4 puzzle/stealth game by FuturLab.

Proton: ProtonDB rates it platinum: runs out of the box on Linux/Proton with no DRM, GFWL, or SecuROM to bypass. Use GE-Proton (or stock proton_experimental / Proton 7.0+); no launch options or winetricks needed.

Install: The shipping exe is PeakyBlinders.exe inside <install>\Binaries\Retail\point Steam at that, not any outer launcher stub.

Controller: Full native controller support, so the Deck gamepad works without a Steam Input remap. Valve also rates the title Steam Deck Verified.

Supply your own copy: deckport only configures the prefix; it never bundles or links the game files.

The one thing to know

Supply your own copy: deckport links nothing.

Delisted: Removed Aug 2024 (TV-licence expiry), not for sale anymore.

Compatibility: ProtonDB platinum; single-player only, so no server/online concerns.

Controller: Full native controller support — Deck gamepad works as-is, no Steam Input layout required.

Binary: The exe lives at Binaries\Retail\PeakyBlinders.exe (UE4) — if Steam launches the wrong stub, set this recipe's binary explicitly.

Verification: Tier/binary confirmed from community + PCGamingWiki; specific Deck run still NEEDS-TEST.

Community guides

Write-ups and threads from people who got this (or a similar) game running. deckport links to them — it doesn't reproduce them.

Get the artwork

deckport never hosts game images. Open this game on SteamGridDB, pick the cover / hero / logo / icon you like, and drop them into the game folder under .deckport-art/ before you push it to the Deck. The importer files them under the right names automatically.

Run it on your Deck

Two files: the one-time importer (deckport.py) in your Deck's home folder, and this game's install helper. Copy the game into ~/Games and run the helper with Steam closed — it writes the recipe (binary, launch options, Proton version) and registers the shortcut with artwork.
